GURU Comments: Colonial CC is a bundled golf community with a spectacular golf course.  The community has 1,699 homes, but only 711 “Golf Village” homes qualify for a Golf Membership. 988 “Lakes Village” homes are deeded with Social Memberships ($2,907/yr.) and cannot be upgraded to Golf Memberships.  However, unlike in other over-sized bundled communities, these members can play the course on a “pay-as-you-play” basis for between $31-$76/person/round, depending upon the month.  Colonial is a “Troon Prive’ Clubs of Distinction” club, managed by Troon Golf LLC since it opened in 2000.  Colonial is under-going a $6.5M renovation project (Vision 2020) in 2020 that will update/upgrade the main Clubhouse kitchen, dining room, and bar/grill area.
